Certified Farmers Markets

We attend several Certified Farmers Markets (CFM’s) in California. To be clear, we try and attend all of the following markets, but at smaller markets we may only get there every other weekend. Therefore, please look for us but give us a call if you need to make sure we will be at a given market.

Going to farmers markets involves a lot of time and driving. Robert and Christina have three jobs: Farmer, Truck Driver, and Salesperson. A few wonderful salespeople assist us, from the Santa Barbara to the Bay Area: Aram Sarkissian, Darryl Gunderson, and Riven Barton.

You are welcome to visit the farm. Just give us a call and come on over. (760) 399-5313.

For those who ask... "Why are you not at the Palm Springs, Palm Desert, or La Quinta Farmers Markets?"

We do not currently sell at our local Palm Springs Cultural Center farmers markets because the market is not compliant with the 2010 California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) ruling. From the June 15, 2010 letter:

“… as stated in the CFM rules, due process was not enforced in an equitable manner and therefore grounds for dismissal cannot be upheld by the hearing committee.”

Giacomina and Paul Palodichuk, managers of the Palm Springs farmers markets, are responsible for unjustly terminating our contract in April 2010. All the gory details are available by request.

The consequence of our not being at market is we do not get to mingle with our community and offer the permaculture fruits and wild greens we grow. The dates other farmers are selling are fine (some are Organic). We are friends with Bautista Family Date Ranch. Some of the citrus available from others at market is treated with 2, 4-D and it is not local.

Our citrus has won First Place at the Riverside County Fair every year since 2008. The Coachella Valley is renowned for citrus. But you can't buy it at farmers market.

Coachella Valley - you know what time it is.

Paul Palodichuk can be reached at (760) 898-5250 or cfm@psculturalcenter.
